A scenic road connecting four islands, the Kaichu-Road.

About Kaichu-Road
The "Kaichu-Road," stretching approximately 5 km from the Katsuren Peninsula to nearby islands, is a bridge that extends over the sea, offering a thrilling driving experience surrounded by water on all sides.
This road connects to four islands: Hamahiga Island, Henza Island, Miyagi Island, and Ikei Island, which can all be reached by car. At the center of the Kaichu Road, there is a rest area called Road Park, perfect for a break during a drive or cycling.
You can enjoy stunning views of the Kaichu Road from the pedestrian bridge or head down to the beach, making it an ideal spot to experience the beauty of nature and the East Coast.

Musium
Marine Culture Museum
On the second floor of the Ayahashi Hall Sea Station, there is a Maritime Cultural Museum, the only place in Okinawa that exhibits wooden ships and shipbuilding techniques used by shipwrights.
One notable exhibit is a model of the "Maran Ship," a trading vessel that sailed between Naha, Yonabaru, Kunigami, and other locations in Okinawa before World War II.
This model is a valuable cultural asset designated by Uruma City. Be sure to check out these cultural treasures that reflect Okinawa’s rich history.
